We love you Toby

We said goodbye today to our loving companion of over 16.5 years, Toby.


Our grandson made this book for us.
He later reminded us "When life is sad, God is good!".  He learned that during Vacation Bible School this past week at Church.

I've been reminded today of the scripture (Romans 8:22 to 25) that reminders us:

 We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies. For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have?  But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.

Thank you to all who cared for Toby over the years (you know who you are) and thank you to all who shared time with Toby while he was with us.

Toby Loves Belly Rubs

Back when we asked people to vote on what tricks they would like to see Toby do, this one received a vote:  A Belly Rub.  Toby is 15+ years old and sometimes he's a bit slow to turn over for a belly rub, but once we helped him, he enjoyed it!

Very Deep Snow

Tricks for Treats! Vote!

Since election day is coming up, I thought I'd give you a chance to vote!

You see, I just celebrated my 13th birthday on October 20th. It's been 3 years since my alpha gave me this blog as a present for my 10th birthday.

And, I love doing tricks for treats!

So, here is a list of the tricks I can do.

I Needed to Get Comfortable

I needed to get comfortable tonight, so I made myself a nice warm place. Then, I figured that I would be even more comfortable if I had a pillow too. So, I moved to an even more comfortable position.

Putting Away Christmas Toys

 

This is me relaxing with a toy that Alpha got at IKEA. 

We put away the Christmas decorations last week. I didn't really want to give up the toy car with the Santa and reindeer. You might like this video.

Christmas Displays

Its cold out, but I thought you'd like to see the new Christmas display I picked up.As you can see, it's much bigger than me. I'm dwarfed by it. Do you even see me in the picture?  Do you think it will be a good balloon for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade next year?

It's My Birthday!

Today is my birthday! Yes, I'm 12 today! It started with a birthday belly rub! Ahhh! I even sang along with the birthday song. Then I had to wear this silly hat. But, I am certain that I'm going to get a special treat later! Maybe even some ice cream!

I Come From a Highly Valued Pedigree

Did you know that a Doxie owned Queen Victoria as a pet (humans see it the other way around)? She said that a Dashund was guaranteed to make a home into a castle (my paraphrase).

Another Vet Trip today

I'm penned up in the kitchen and recuperating after an unexpected trip to the vet today. I'm on two meds and the vet said I'll be better soon. I'm very tired.
