Relaxing in the sunshine

Ah, the day after Thanksgiving! Just a nice day to relax in the sunshine. I had a bath today, so now I can just relax.

It's My Birthday!

Today is my birthday! Yes, I'm 12 today! It started with a birthday belly rub! Ahhh! I even sang along with the birthday song. Then I had to wear this silly hat. But, I am certain that I'm going to get a special treat later! Maybe even some ice cream!

I Come From a Highly Valued Pedigree

Humans have valued us Doxies over the centuries!
Did you know that a Doxie owned Queen Victoria as a pet (humans see it the other way around)? She said that a Dashund was guaranteed to make a home into a castle (my paraphrase).

Did you know that President Abraham Lincoln had a Dashund as a friend?

Well, I don't know if you can believe everything you read on the Internet, but these posts are where I found this important info:

Another Vet Trip today

I

I'm penned up in the kitchen and recuperating after an unexpected trip to the vet today. I'm on two meds and the vet said I'll be better soon. I'm very tired.

Hi Ho, Hi Ho, it's Off to the Vet I Go!

Today it was time for a regular checkup. The vet says I'm doing pretty good for a 11.5 year old Dashund!  I'm keeping my weight down (weight can cause issues with back pain, especially in us Doxies). The Vet found a sore spot in my back, so I'll have to try to use my stairs more to get up in the sofa chair. I got my regular shots and had a blood test.

I even got a treat which I brought home to share with "Girl Friend."

i-scared!

I was scared with the boom-bangs (thunder) today, so I hid under alpha-Henry's desk and shake. But, now the sun is out and I'm happy again! Hooray!
